Time’s Up! – Recognizing and Preventing Unlawful Harassment in the Workplace

Time’s Up! As of October 1, 2019, all Connecticut employers must comply with the Time’s Up Act (P.A. 19 and P.A. 93). The Act introduces new training and education requirements for preventing sexual harassment in the workplace. Under the Time’s Up Act, all Connecticut employers must provide sexual harassment prevention training to all supervisory employees, regardless of size. All Connecticut employers of three or more employees must provide sexual harassment prevention training to all employees. Existing employees and supervisors must receive this training by October 1, 2020.

This two (2) hour training satisfies an employer’s training requirements under the Time’s Up Act and will assist supervisors and employees to recognize and prevent sexual harassment and other unlawful harassment in the workplace. The interactive training will cover: State and federal laws prohibiting sexual harassment and other unlawful harassment in the workplace; Conduct that may constitute sexual harassment or other unlawful harassment; Recognizing and responding to complaints of sexual harassment; Remedies and liability for sexual harassment; Risk factors for sexual harassment or other unlawful harassment; Special considerations for non-profit organizations; Strategies and best practices for preventing sexual harassment in the workplace
