DESCRIPTION:A Lunch and Learn sponsored by Social Venture Partners CT with Marti Fischer – to be rescheduled.  \n— \nMarti Fischer is a New York City based consultant\, executive coach\, blogger and speaker who specializes in taking the ‘scary’ out of career transitions and transforming managers into leaders. Since 2006\, Marti has guided individuals through career transitions\, in positioning their skills\, getting or crafting the jobs they want and excelling as leaders. Within organizations\, she has worked with interns to CEO’s to board members\, helping them successfully manage interpersonal communications and develop leadership skills. She offers individual coaching\, staff and board trainings and retreats to create workplaces where everyone feels valued and heard. Marti came to this work after 15+ years of leading teams in the advertising and television industries. She is the founder of Marti Fischer Group\, an executive coaching and consulting firm\, and a graduate of Sarah Lawrence College. When not with clients\, Marti’s been writing and is excited about her new book\, Breaking In: The Intern’s Guide to Getting In\, Fitting In\, Standing Out and Being Remembered. The book prepares students to be successful during their transition from student to professional. When not working\, she’s traveling\, skiing\, trying to hit a golf ball\, or prowling around the Met.
