SUMMARY:Mindfulness Book Club with Community Mindfulness Project
DESCRIPTION:Three sessions: Aug 2\, Aug 23\, & Sept 27 at 7:00 PM \nJoin FCCF and Community Mindfulness Project online as we explore the book\, Peak Mind\, by Dr. Amishi Jha and its pledge to help you “find your focus and own your attention by investing just 12 minutes a day.” \nDr. Amishi Jha was a meditation skeptic until she saw images that showed a brain in a negative mood and a brain in a positive mood.  It was the early 2000s and when she asked how to get the negative brain to look like the positive brain Richard Davidson\, the researcher showing the images\, answered\, “Meditation”.  Since then\, she’s been studying meditation and its effects on people’s attention and health.  Peak Mind is a fun\, fast read that describes her journey through this research\, what she’s learned\, and how to apply it in very accessible ways. \n  \nRegister Now\nBooks will be provided. Please register by 7/28/23 to ensure adequate mailing time.
