DESCRIPTION:Being a supervisor is not easy. It requires not only skills to motivate your staff\, but also monitoring and improving their performance. This hands-on workshop will provide a foundation for your success and the success of your staff. The full-day session will be reflective and interactive and will feature skill self-assessments\, brief lectures and experiential exercises. \nThis workshop is designed specifically for supervisors who are new to their roles or have never received any formalized training on supervision. \nKey topics that will be covered include: \n\nThe difference between leadership and management\nYour supervisory role and a model for understanding employee behavior\nExploring your leadership style\nInspiring employee performance\nDealing with performance challenges\n\nAbout the Presenter: \nAnne Yurasek has been an organizational development consultant and trainer for over twelve years in the nonprofit and private sector.  Her strength lies in her ability to listen to her clients’ needs and develop customized solutions.  Anne is an excellent facilitator and is known for her training and presentation skills.  Her role in many of Fio Partners’ projects is to gather information to support evidence-based decision making.  From informational interviews to surveys as well as research in a particular field\, Anne is able to raise the information and present the findings to clients in an accessible format.  Her ability to support organizations through their inflection points – whether due to consolidation or growth – is unsurpassed.  Anne has an MBA in Management from Columbia University and a Bachelors Degree in Psychology from Wellesley College. \nFee: $65 – lunch will be provided. \nClick here to register. \nHeld in partnership with the CT Community Nonprofit Alliance
