DESCRIPTION:Two dates available: October 25th or 26th \nIt’s never been more important for boards and staff to work together effectively to solicit financial support for your organization. Designed for board-staff teams\, this practical session addresses the complementary roles board members play in their organization’s governance and resource development. \nFor your convenience\, the same session will be offered on two different dates: October 25\, 2019 & October 26\, 2019. \nThe day will begin with a close look at board recruitment\, structure\, operations\, and culture\, knowing that weak boards don’t raise funds effectively. The second part of the session focuses on how to involve board members in effective fundraising. \nTo maximize the benefit of this session we are requiring a minimum of 3 participates from each organization and must include the Executive Director and at least one Board member in attendance. Additional Board and staff participants are strongly encouraged to attend.
