Fairfield County’s Community Foundation Announces New Chair and Members to its Board of Directors

(Norwalk, Conn.) August 14, 2024 —Fairfield County’s Community Foundation (FCCF) announces the addition of Amanda Castellano, Laura Farrelly, Katharine Sachs Lumby, and Nathaniel Yordon to its Board of Directors and the election of Dr. Maya Reddi as its new board chair.

The appointments come as the Foundation continues to implement its Fairfield County Forward strategic plan and serves its mission to create a Fairfield County where everyone has an equitable opportunity to thrive.

“The depth and breadth of experience these new board members bring to the Community Foundation is inspiring,” said Mendi Blue Paca, President and CEO of FCCF. “We are excited to add their energy, passion and dedication to Fairfield County to our boardroom. Together, we continue our work to move Fairfield County forward.”

DR. MAYA REDDI –  BOARD CHAIR

Dr. Maya ReddiDr. Reddi has served The Community Foundation’s board since 2021, joining the Executive Committee in 2023. A lifelong champion of women and girls, Reddi has also served on the steering committee of the Community Foundation’s Fund for Women and Girls since 2021.

“My association with FCCF, for many years, has given me the opportunity to be involved in and witness how FCCF’s work, with its community partners, has made life better for so many in Fairfield County.” said Reddi. “As Board Chair, I look forward to supporting the Community Foundation’s growth and investment in the programs and people, building community power and advocating for policy changes, so that everyone has an equitable opportunity to thrive.”

Amanda CastellanoAMANDA CASTELLANO
Amanda Castellano is a Vice President and Wealth Advisor at Bernstein Private Wealth Management. She lives in Westport, CT and enjoys supporting her community by serving on the Board of the Westport Young Woman’s League and the Women’s Business Development Council along with other volunteer activities.  Read Amanda’s full bio here.

 


Laura FarrellyLAURA FARRELLY
Laura Farrelly is a Private Wealth Senior Relationship Manager with the Erdmann Group within Merrill Private Wealth Management. She is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA®) Charterholder and a member of the CFA® Society Stamford. KATHARINE SACHS LUMBY
Katharine was born and raised in Fairfield County and brings with her a wealth of knowledge of the local nonprofit community via her involvement and board service with Impact Fairfield County (Impact FFC), a women’s collective giving circle that has provided over $2m in funding to Fairfield County-based nonprofits since 2016. NATHANIEL YORDON
Nathaniel Yordon, CPA is a Partner at Capossela Cohen, LLC a public accounting firm in Southport, CT and lives in Easton, CT. A dedicated community volunteer, Nate’s service includes long tenures with Community Accounting Aid Services of the CT Society of CPAs, Open Doors (board member and past-president) and Connecticut Housing Partners (board member and treasurer). He also served on the City of Norwalk Common Council from 1985-1987. Nate is committed to giving back to non-profit organizations through service and financial support and strongly believes that generosity is the key to vibrant and successful communities.
