Informed by three decades of partnering with and serving our community, we have awarded more than $390 million in grants to nonprofits in Fairfield County and beyond.
To create a stronger local economy, a larger skilled workforce, and a safer and healthier community.
To partner with our community to create a Fairfield County where every person has an equitable opportunity to thrive.
To be guided by a commitment to equity, inclusivity, collaboration, humility, respect, and courage.
How We Serve You as a Community Foundation
A community foundation is a tax-exempt independent nonprofit dedicated to improving the lives of people in a defined local geographic area. As grantmaking foundations that are supported by a broad range of private and public donors across their community, they are governed by a board of members from all sectors of the local community. With deep local roots and extensive philanthropic knowledge, they can partner with people and organizations who care about their community to help them make a greater impact.
Founded in 1992, Fairfield County’s Community Foundation serves all 23 cities and towns across Fairfield County, and is one of Connecticut’s largest community foundations.
We strive to work with all parts of the community across public, private and nonprofit sectors to better tackle challenges.
