Starting in 2018, we’ve partnered with Moffly Media to introduce Fairfield County’s Community Foundation Community Impact Awards
Thank you for nominating extraordinary nonprofits working to close the opportunity gap in Fairfield County.
We’re excited to share that All Our Kin and the Center for Children’s Advocacy have been selected as the recipients of FCCF’s inaugural award.
Winners will each receive a $2,500 grant and a year of free trainings and workshops (a $2,000 value) from FCCF’s Center for Nonprofit Excellence.* They’ll also be honored on-stage at the November Light a Fire Awards ceremony, featured in publicity and social media efforts, and highlighted in special Moffly Media magazine coverage. Check here for Light a Fire ceremony tickets.
*Each winning organization will receive access for two staff members at FCCF’s CNE trainings throughout 2019, subject to availability and excluding Executive Leadership Program.
For 10 years, Moffly Media’s Light at Fire Awards have celebrated the individuals and organizations changing lives in Fairfield County. A portion of ticket proceeds from the Light a Fire Awards event is generously donated by Moffly Media to Fairfield County’s Community Foundation (FCCF). We are pleased to announce that beginning in 2018, we have expanded our partnership with Moffly Media to introduce this new awards category.
Thank you for your help in identifying awards candidates. Nonprofit award nominations are closed. Read on for all the details about the awards.
Eligibility & Selection Process / Nominations are closed
Guided by shared values of diversity, equity, inclusion, collaboration and integrity, nominations should highlight 501c3 nonprofit organizations that are serving youth and young adults, women and girls, and/or immigrants. The work of these nonprofits should be focused on closing the opportunity gap by eliminating disparities in income, education, employment, housing or health. Eligible nonprofits must have received a competitive grant from FCCF in 2016, 2017 or 2018. Click here for a complete list of organizations that were eligible. Nominations were reviewed by an Award Selection Committee comprised of FCCF staff, board members and Fairfield County community members. Applications are completed and closed.
