We have partnered with Moffly Media once again to bring you Fairfield County’s Community Foundation’s Community Impact Awards
We are delighted to congratulate Building One Community and Connect-US as our 2019 honorees!
For over 10 years, Moffly Media’s Light a Fire Awards have celebrated the individuals and organizations changing lives in Fairfield County. A portion of ticket proceeds from the Light a Fire Awards event is generously donated by Moffly Media to Fairfield County’s Community Foundation (FCCF).
The honorees will be celebrated during the Light a Fire Awards ceremony on December 5, 2019.
These two nonprofit organizations will each receive a $2,500 grant and a year of free trainings and workshops from FCCF’s Center for Nonprofit Excellence.

Eligibility & Guidelines
Guided by shared values of diversity, equity, inclusion, collaboration, and integrity, nominations should highlight 501c3 nonprofit organizations that are serving youth and young adults, women and girls, and/or immigrants. The work of these nonprofits should be focused on closing the opportunity gap by eliminating disparities in income, education, employment, housing or health. Eligible nonprofits must have received a competitive grant from FCCF in 2017, 2018 or 2019. Click here for a complete list of organizations that are eligible.
Award Benefits
Winners will each receive a $2,500 grant and a year of free trainings and workshops (a $2,000 value) from FCCF’s Center for Nonprofit Excellence.* They’ll also be honored on-stage at the December Light a Fire Awards ceremony, featured in publicity and social media efforts, and highlighted in special Moffly Media magazine coverage.
*Each winning organization will receive access for two staff members at FCCF’s CNE trainings throughout 2020, subject to availability and excluding Executive Leadership Program.
Selection Process
Nominations will be reviewed by an Award Selection Committee comprised of FCCF staff. Award winners will be selected on or about July 8, 2019 and will be notified soon thereafter.

Tell us how your favorite nonprofit has engaged the community, exemplified our values and made an impact to close the opportunity gap in Fairfield County. Nominating is open to community members, nonprofit board members and volunteers (no nonprofit staff).
