Fairfield County Community Wellbeing Index 2019
Fairfield County’s Community Foundation partners with our community to create a Fairfield County where every person has an equitable opportunity to thrive. But without valid and reliable data, we cannot measure our progress towards our mission. We are excited to share highlights from the Fairfield County Community Wellbeing Index 2023 to inspire reflection, dialogue and engagement.
The Community Wellbeing Index (CWI) helps us better understand the complex issues facing our neighborhoods, towns and county, as well how we measure up compared to the state. By focusing on the interrelationship between wellbeing, quality of life, health, and the economic competitiveness of Fairfield County, we can better appreciate our successes, acknowledge our challenges, and work with our community to create a more equitable future.
The CWI is a core community indicators program of DataHaven, produced in partnership with Fairfield County’s Community Foundation, and community partners including Yale New Haven Health, Health Improvement Alliance, Connecticut Health Foundation, Hartford Health Care, Stamford Health, Nuvance Health, United Way of Coastal Fairfield County, United Way of Western Connecticut and The Housing Collective.
