Fairfield County’s Giving Day is possibly my favorite day of the year! Over the past six years, Fairfield County has proven has proven that everyone has the power to give whatever they can to make a difference in our community. A donation of as little as $10, when combined with others, makes a huge impact and creates opportunity throughout the region,” stated Juanita James, President and CEO, Fairfield County’s Community Foundation. “We encourage all nonprofit organizations to register today and join us on February 27th for Giving Day 2020. When Fairfield County’s nonprofits prosper, our entire community has the opportunity to thrive,” she continues.

All nonprofit organizations throughout the region, large and small, are invited to join in this amazing opportunity to secure donations and increase awareness for their mission. Participants will learn specific steps to take and have access to an online library of resources, including a toolkit, instruction videos and more, to create stories for their Giving Day campaign and beyond. Nonprofit organizations receive training via in-person and online workshops to effectively reach new supporters on Giving Day.

“Fairfield County’s Giving Day has been instrumental in raising funds for equipment for the new INTEMPO technology lab that will give the children in our programs the opportunity to grow and flourish as they pursue their musical passions. Participating in Giving Day, over the years, has been critical for our young organization. We not only learned from the workshops and raised money, but INTEMPO also received impactful county-wide awareness and developed relationships with new donors and volunteers with a love for what we do. Thank you, Fairfield County’s Community Foundation, for helping us get closer to our dream, “stated Angie Durrell, Founder and Executive Director, INTEMPO.

Fairfield County’s Giving Day was first initiated in 2014 by the Community Foundation to empower our local nonprofit community and provide any individual the ability to participate in local philanthropy. Since its inception, Fairfield County’s Community Foundation, with champion sponsor Bank of America, has organized the region’s largest philanthropic day of the year. For six years, hundreds of nonprofits and thousands of community members have joined together in celebration of local philanthropy on Fairfield County’s Giving Day. In total, $7,655,102 has been generously contributed to support the myriad of impactful nonprofit organizations and their programs that support the people and places in the region.

Fairfield County’s Giving Day is made possible through generous contributions from local businesses and individuals.
