FCCF Welcomes Two New Team Members

Fairfield County’s Community Foundation is delighted to welcome two new team members! Get to know our new staff who joined us in the fall of 2023.


Phillip Daniels joined us as Senior Director, Major Gifts in 2023.

In this role, Phillip is responsible for formulating and implementing the overarching fundraising strategy for the Foundation. Prior to joining the Community Foundation, Phillip was with All Star Code where he was the Sr. Development Director overseeing a $3.0 million fundraising campaign through various strategies such as grant-writing, special events, and direct mail. Prior to this he held key positions at organizations like Brick Education Network, UNCF, United Way of Greater Union County, Black Health Matters, and Pioneer Electronics, contributing to their growth and success.

Phillip received a bachelor’s degree in communications from Brockport State University. He is a passionate traveler who enjoys exploring new destinations and diverse cultures.

 

Tatiana Gay joined us as Philanthropy Associate in 2023.

In this role, Tatiana plays a key role in facilitating our fundraising and donor engagement initiatives, focusing on managing database records and providing support for a variety of donor and partner events. Prior to joining the Community Foundation, Tatiana was with United Way of Central & Northeastern CT. She began her time there as a New Business Development Coordinator and was later promoted to Corporate Engagement Manager. Tatiana successfully achieved fundraising goals, researched prospects, enhanced donor participation, and secured diverse funding sources.

Tatiana holds a bachelor’s degree in criminal justice from the University of New Haven and a certificate in Women’s Entrepreneurship from Cornell University. She enjoys cooking, shopping, and a variety of creative works. She is also a proud member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc., and the owner of Tatiana Ashanti Studio.
