The Stable Families program provides intensive case management to increase housing stability and resiliency among Bridgeport public housing families identified as facing a risk of eviction. Since November 2009, 95% of the families enrolled in the program have avoided eviction, gotten back on their feet financially, and moved their lives forward. In 2017, Connecticut Legal Services was added as an additional grantee to support Bridgeport public housing residents in housing related legal affairs, primarily the current Marina Village relocation project.
In September 2013, Fairfield County’s Community Foundation was presented with the HUD Secretary’s Award for Public-Philanthropic Partnerships, recognizing our leadership with the Stable Families Program and PT Partners.
