Connecting Women & Girls to Holistic Tools for Success
The emme coalition, a signature investment of FCCF’s Fund for Women & Girls, is an innovative program that puts women and girls in the driver’s seat of their lives as partners in their own care. It takes a holistic approach to address barriers that prevent women and girls from receiving quality healthcare and reaching their full potential. And by showing participants a broad range of options and possibilities, it helps them make informed choices.
This research-driven program works at the intersection of physical wellness, behavioral health and social services to connect women and girls with lifelong tools for wellbeing that can be passed along to future generations.
Through emme, participants will:
- Set life goals and make plans to achieve them
- Live a healthy lifestyle and maintain their own wellness
- Learn self-advocacy
- Defy stereotypes
- Navigate the healthcare system
- Decide if and when it’s right to have a child
- Have healthier intimate relationships
- Optimize job prospects
- Understand financial choices
- Build coping skills
As a one-stop wellness resource hub, emme will empower women and girls to achieve and maintain healthy, self-actualized lives.
Who We Serve
The emme coalition is designed with a trauma-informed lens to support all girls and women of reproductive age, 12-49 years, who live in Bridgeport.
Program Delivery
A range of holistic services, both virtual and physical, will be offered through our nonprofit partner OPTIMUS Health Care.
Program SCOPE
The program will serve 100 women & girls through intensive case management, and 1000 through less intensive services.
By advancing health equity, emme works to meet urgent needs.
