In Community: A Conversation on Poverty featuring author Matthew Desmond

Join us at Norwalk’s historic Wall Street Theatre for the first event in our “In Community” speaker series, sponsored by the Community Foundation’s Equity Lab and CT Public.

This October 12 event will feature Matthew Desmond, Princeton sociologist and Pulitzer Prize-winning author of Evicted: Poverty and Profit in the American City (Crown, 2016).

In this community conversation, Desmond will share insights from his latest book, Poverty, By America (Crown, 2023), exploring the complexities of poverty and ways we can collectively usher in a new age of shared prosperity.
