Increasingly, organizations are adapting to the ever-changing nonprofit landscape by affiliating with other organizations in some capacity. Agencies that are successfully able to collaborate can operate more effectively and cost-efficiently, allowing them to best provide services in our community while allowing them to modify their working relationships as needed. This workshop will discuss the practical and legal considerations for strategic collaborations among nonprofits. Click here to register!

  • An organization’s motivations for collaborating with other agencies
  • Factors to consider in determine why and how to collaborate
  • Different forms of collaboration such as MOUs, shared services agreements, partnering on programs, joint ventures, asset transfers, mergers, and consolidations
  • When and how to involve outside expertise such as consultants and attorneys
  • Questions and challenges
